All of our evaluations are performed by a clinical psychologist. The testing is usually performed in multiple visits, and the entire evaluation can be completed in as little as a few weeks. In addition to a written report, many of our evaluations include a feedback session with the psychologist where results and recommendations are discussed in detail. Most of our evaluations may be filed with insurance.
We work with Direct Individual or Doctor referrals in addition to Community Support Progams, Intensive In-Home Programs, Respite Care, programs that specialize in Foster / Residential care Placements and those that provide basic Outpatient mental health services.
TLC does not have standard assessment protocols - each testing is tailored to meet the individualized need of each client!
GENERAL EVALUATIONS
Psychoeducational Used to assess for learning disabilities and attentional problems, and rule out other possible issues in academic achievement
ADHD Used to assess for attentional problems and rule out other possible issues in academic achievement
Comprehensive Psychological Used to assess clinical, personality, and cognitive issues related to current functioning - can clarify complex clinical issues which may involve substance abuse, thought disorder, identity issues, and cognitive deficits
Brief Psychological Used to assess clinical and personality characteristics as they relate to general functioning - can be used to enhance clinical assessment and treatment planning
SPECIFIC TESTING
In addition to our general evaluations, we offer specific testing that does not include clinical interviews or feedback sessions. These procedures may yield somewhat less comprehensive information, but are generally much less time consuming and less expensive.
